Product Introduction
- This equipment is a kind of wide-section mold,which is used for vertical casting of hot top surface of aluminum;it is cooled by circulating cooling water in contact with it,and the bottom is drawn by an ingot matrix,thereby casting aluminum rods of standard cross-section.
- The mold can be cast with round or square bars.

Typical Working Process
The operation of this system can be summarised in the following steps:
Preparation
– Filtered molten metal is poured into the hot top.
Start of casting
– The hydraulic system drives the bottom support (e.g., shoe) to descend from the bottom of the mould.
Continuous casting
– The molten metal cools and solidifies inside the mould, forming a continuous ingot as the bottom support keeps moving downward.
End of casting
– When the predetermined length is reached, casting stops. The hydraulic system lifts the ingot out of the casting pit.
Post-processing
– The ingot is transferred to subsequent steps such as cooling, sawing, and stacking.
